101 Scottish Songs, the influential songbook popularly known as the ‘Wee Bed Book’ is republished for the first time in over 40 years to mark the 50th Anniversary associated with standard songs and tune Association of Scotland (TMSA) in colaboration with Collins, with launch show as part of Celtic Connections 2016. The TMSA can be in the process of creating an online resource attached to this amazing site, to fit the book, including links to tracks of tracks so you can learn all of them by ear.

TMSA Younger Trad Tour & CDs

Congratulations to Mohsen Amini, concertina player from Glasgow, just who won the BBC Radio Scotland younger conventional Musician of the season 2016 title. His fellow finalists: Hannah MacRae (Lochaber) fiddle; Jessica Burton (Orkney) clarsach; Murray Willis (Lismore) accordion; Robbie Greig (Edinburgh) fiddle; Ryan teenage (Cardross) fiddle, is going to be joining him later this year to their TMSA younger Trad recording and Tour.

At the same time, the TMSA Young Trad Tour 2015 Project, sustained by innovative Scotland, The Robertson Trust, The Hugh Fraser Foundation and Sylvia Aitken Charitable Trust, had their first show at Celtic Connections with Ceol Mor - Aberdeen Global Youth Festival's trad huge band. Comprising of fiddlers Ryan younger, Seamus O’Baoighill and Gemma Donald, Gaelic singer Ainsley Hamill, clarsach player Heather Downie and winner, Claire Hastings, plus Robyn Stapleton, just who won in 2014, they will certainly be recording and touring during 2016.
